According to the report of 'Daily Mail', 2-year-old child Paul was playing near Edward Lake in Uganda. After swallowing Paul, the local people started throwing stones at the hippopotamus. The hippopotamus took Paul to the mouth of the lake.

Crispus Bagonja, who was present there, saw the hippopotamus carrying the child, so he threw stones at the heavy animal to stop it. With the effort of Crispus Bagonja, the animal spits the child back out after half-swallowing it. After this the hippopotamus went back to the lake. The local people were shocked to see all this.

Child Paul was badly injured in the incident, he was taken to the clinic for treatment. He was later taken to a hospital in Hawera, Uganda. Where Paul was injected with rabies.
