The police custody of Shraddha murder accused Aftab Poonawala has been extended for 4 days. Aftab told the court during his appearance that he had killed his live-in partner Shraddha in 'anger'. During the special hearing, he was produced before the Saket court through video conferencing. His 5-day police custody was to end on 22 November.
Aftab said in front of the judge in the court, "Whatever happened, he became angry." Aftab said that he is helping the police in the investigation and will give all the information. He has told the police about the places where he had dumped Shraddha's body parts. He also told the court that he was finding it difficult to remember the incident as it had been a long time.

Aftab allegedly strangulated Shraddha to death in the month of May. Then many handcuffs were adopted to destroy the evidence. First cut the dead body into more than 30 pieces and kept it in his fridge. Then kept throwing pieces of the dead body for the next several days. He himself has accepted this fact. Six months later, on November 10, the matter came to light after investigation on the complaint of Shraddha's father.
Aftab will have a Polygraph Test
Aftab's lawyer told the court that he did not remember from which shop he had bought the saw. He has also made a map of the pond or lake where Shraddha's head was thrown.

In this case, the polygraph test of the accused Aftab will also be conducted. The court has given its permission to the Delhi Police. Earlier, the Delhi Police had told the court that Aftab was giving false information and diverting the investigation. Last week, the court also allowed the narco test.
Shraddha and Aftab were living in Mumbai for almost three years. Both had come to Delhi in May this year. According to the reason that has been revealed so far, Shraddha wanted to get married and Aftab was avoiding her. There were quarrels between the two for a long time. On the night of 18 May 2022, the quarrel escalated so much that Aftab killed Shraddha by 'strangling' her.
