Benchmark Brent crude fell to its lowest level since January on Monday. Price in Delhi and Mumbai
The price of petrol and diesel in the national capital Delhi is Rs 96.72 per liter and Rs 89.62 per litre. In Mumbai, which is called the financial capital of the country, the price of petrol is Rs 106.31 per liter, and the same diesel is priced at Rs 94.27 per liter and in Kolkata, one liter of petrol is Rs 106.03 and diesel is being sold for Rs 92.76. Petrol is being sold at Rs 102.63 per liter in Chennai and a liter of diesel is being sold at Rs 94.24 per litre.
When do petrol and diesel prices change
Fuel prices are based on the dynamic fuel pricing system and are revised regularly. There are many factors that decide the petrol and diesel prices in different cities, such as the rupee and dollar exchange rate, crude oil cost, global cues and fuel demand, etc. Petrol and diesel rates are revised daily at 6 am from June 2017. VAT varies from state to state. After adding excise duty, dealer commission and VAT, the price of petrol almost doubles.

- In Lucknow, one liter of petrol is available at Rs 96.47 and diesel at Rs 89.66 per litre.

- Petrol is being sold at Rs 96.59 per liter in Noida, while diesel is being sold at Rs 89.76 per litre.
- One liter of petrol in Meerut costs Rs 96.31 and diesel costs Rs 89.49 per litre.
- One liter of petrol is available at Rs 113.48 and diesel at Rs 98.24 per liter in Ganganagar, Rajasthan.
